With the last quarter. With the first three, what do you really expect in Adelaide after three less than a goal come from behind wins.

Essendon is developing an ability to feel a game after it starts and play it on its merits from there. That's a premiership trait.

Winning that last quarter in Adelaide means heaps.

Loved it.

Are u taking the piss? we should have been at least competitive against a side coming off 4 straight loses

Port were playing for their premiership captains 200th on their home ground. Before their four straight losses they were on top of the ladder. They have trouble turning up at times (read Burgoynes) but when they do at home they can play. They get a run on and can smash sides

We had signs in the second quarter of matching them. Bit of bad bounce our way and they could do no wrong their way and it didn't amount to much.

In five quarters we would have won.

Totally agree 100%!!! Port put the cue in the rack in the last quarter thats why we went down by only 31 pts instead of nearly 100!

Unfortunately, thee are only 4 quarters in a game not 5. Otherwise, they would be called fifths ;)

to me the only arguably impressive thing was that we didnt lose the plot and fought it out. 12 months ago in Adelaide we threw in the towel.

That first half was as bad as we have played in a long, long time. They were running hot, and we were ice cold. Simple as that. I lost count of how many times we coughed the ball up with some horific decision making as well as disposal. They must love playing us.

We fought it out, but they had switched off. I wont take much from that, only that we showed some sort of pride. Hardly impressive tho.

The result flattered the outcome. Cant afford to allow starts like that. We deserved to be steamrolled like that after such a poor showing for most of the game.

I'm just happy about the %. Port did something similar vs Carlton the week before when it looked like they would lose by a lot more so it might give the boys some confidence for the next round.
