This holiday will mark the release of the PlayStation 4, and gamers can't wait to learn more about Sony's jump to the next generation. In anticipation of this big event, Game Informer set out to create the definitive PlayStation 4 issue. Starting with a 10 page feature on Sucker Punch's Infamous Second Son (the cover star), our massive feature doesn't stop there. We explore the future of PlayStation 4 including Sony's new indie agenda, discuss Media Molecule's upcoming project, and reveal new information and screens for Destiny, Knack, Killzone: Shadow Fall, and DriveClub. On top of all that, we also interviewed Sony's Shuhei Yoshida and got our hands on the Dual Shock 4 controller.
But enough about our 30-page PlayStation 4 cover story, let's get back to Infamous Second Son.
With Cole MacGrath out of the picture, the country is on high alert looking for other conduits. To deal with this perceived threat, the government has set up the oppressive Department of Unified Protection, and they've placed Seattle on lockdown. As new protagonist Delsin Rowe, players will be given more than enough opportunities to fight the power.
Check out our coverage trailer below for a taste of what to expect from our content.

Also watchgameinformer.com throughout the day as we reveal three new PlayStation indie games.

Looks like we'll be getting some details on the next Infamous game very soon. Amongst a PS4 blowout.

Interesting to see some of the info revealed, including that of the ending chosen from inFAMOUS 2 being placed into cannon via the majority of trophies earned by people that played the game.

Main bits covered in the vid below (beware there is a huge spoiler about the end of inFAMOUS 2):

Sounds interesting, the new power and how you drain it from sources sounds like it'll make the game a lot tougher. Also will be interesting to see how the touch pad gets used for the draining of sources.

Might be ok. I was a little unsure on infamous 2 (can't remember why) but was instantly rehooked with the beta trials. I can imagine picking this up and having dejavu, jumping right in to the fluid character movement infamous is known for.

I'm concerned about smoke being rarer than electricity since I don't think limiting the core mechanic of the game is a smart move, however it does look good.
This^
Going in to the blacked out areas with no or limited power made cole a useless turd.
Luckily you could zap a metal object (like a bin) and draw twice as much back out of it.

New Infamous looks pretty good.

Interested too see where they go with the series.

Didn't finish the last one but it was done to circumstance. Went back to it but said it was no longer available to play. Something to do with PS+ running out. D'oh!

The second was a lot better than the first but still nothing special imo.

More inFAMOUS. This vid features an interview with the lead protagonist's actor, played by Nolan....I mean Troy Baker. And Travis Williamson (also apparently named Williams or Willingham...???????) who plays his brother.

inFAMOUS is a no brainer purchase for the ps4. One of the absolute best exclusives out there.

I can't wait to see all the new powers they've added in and how fluent the movement will be this time around.
The ps3 versions were already ridiculously fluent and quite a good looking title also and you can just see already that this will take it to a whole other level!

But what’s this Cole’s Legacy DLC we mentioned? For one, it won’t be available for purchase when Infamous: Second Son launches. It’s only available through these offers here. It’s additional downloadable content you’ll be able to play that uncovers what happened between the devastating events of Infamous 2 and Infamous: Second Son.
Cole MacGrath’s actions in New Marias set in motion a chain of events leading to the now forceful occupation of Seattle by the oppressive Department of Unified Protection. Cole’s Legacy bridges this gap in time with a series of missions Delsin Rowe must complete that reveal unique insights into how the world of Infamous: Second Son came to be.
