Jagermeister

I got given a bottle of this recently and am wondering how best does one enjoy Jagermeister?

For those who don't know, it's a German herbal liqueur.

Fluid of the gods.

For the uninitiated, you might want to get a few stubbies into you, to warm up the taste buds.

Don't bother with shot glasses unless at a venue.. don't go on the rocks... straight out the bottle is the best way... chilled... but on a winter's day it will warm you up.

But most importantly, KNOW YOUR LIMITS cos it could get messy otherwise!

A couple of years ago my friends and I invented a shot at a bar in Nth Melb called the El Dorado (now known as the Leveson) that has Jagermeister in it.

It was not good and can destroy you, hence it's clever nickname "BAD NEWS." It was just that.

It contained Bundy, Southern & Jagermeister and then placed in shot glasses before they had a chance to disolve.

It was absolutely disgusting but man o man did we get blind quickly. I highly recommend it. But please be wary as it will kill you quickly.

Replace ice with shards of glass.
It would be a drink/meal rolled into one, with no need for a pack of peanuts from the bar.

My band has just hooked up with the company that distributes and promotes Jager in Australia and we get as much of the stuff as we want.

I must admit, i'm not the biggest fan of it and its certainly not my favourtie taste in this world straight, but one of the dudes who promotes it is at our Monday gig every week and chucks shots at us all night. 5 or 6 and i'm absolutely maggoted!!

I find it goes alright with a red bull in a glass with ice (which is now my standard pre-gig drink).

Yep, that's the best way to have it IMO. I find it tastes like echinacia (sp?) straight, but with Red Bull it's really good. Don't lose anything by using V or Red Eye instead (cheaper than Red Bull!! ).
