I think you missed my point, TRiB. Mitchell is a leader of an outlaw motorcycle gang and likewise the Rebels are an outlaw motorcycle gang. The aforementioned policeman generalised about bikies and didn't focus on just Rebels in his comments. The point is, irrespective of other reasons, would sponsors like the club to associated with outlaw bikies and to be encouraging their presence at the club? I think the answer is a resounding NO. Hence, the conversation the club had with King about not doing it again was probably about sponsorships as well as a host of other very valid reasons.

Get the sponsor concerns and have acknowledged , was just bewildered by some people catergorising BIKIES .

Being part of a club/team at any level means making sacrifices/compromises. Whether it be diet, curfews, extra hours on the track or the gym, taking the opposition best player to the dead parts of field, not smoking, taking pay cuts etc. If king is needs to make sacrifices in regards to who he associates with (rightly or wrongly) then so be it. He is compensated handsomely for it. By the way, could have just been a naive mistake of which King and others will have learned from.
