I am trying to avoid listing my 2005 delistings until at least round 11 but I think we will have 6 delistings and 2 retirments at the end of this year. I would expect Hinge ( definite ), and hopefully another rookie to be elevated. This would then give us 5 picks in the main draft and 1 in Pre season draft.
I think Iam in a bad mood (sorry) - but Hinge hasn't even made the Glenelg league side yet and although has looked good on the training track IMO it's really sticking the neck out to say ATS he'll be elevated.

I'm more than happy to stick my neck out - Hinge will be elevated at the end of this year. If we elevated Matt Smith than this kids a shue in.

An informed opinion I value greatly even if it differs from my views.

Again - how many games have you seen Van Berlo play? or is your opinion generated from this board - if its from this board then your right Iam having a crack.

I'll give my opinion when I have actually seen the guy kick a ball in anger

Similarly on Smith who gets a fair belting on this board yet I haven't seen him play so how can I express an informed opinion
Read what I said. I simply stated that from what we have seen of Van Berlo so far (ie. the preseason matches) the kid has got it. In my opinion from what we have seen of Jericho, he doesn't. Why the hell would that get your knickers in such a knot.
How many times do you need to see a player before you can decide if they can play football? Ever heard the term, first impressions.

Jericho and The Count wont be competing for a spot with each other...2 different types of players......Jericho is a fair way off atm if you watch Westies...and VB is caught in a log jam for small/midfield spots especially while we dont have injuries, and while NC's love affair with Skippy, Bode, Doughty and Shirley continues.

It looks like Jimmy had a double wish granted last night - According to the Advertiser this morning Begley played for Sturt and they beat Ports by 6 points - double d'oh!
GO YOU MIGHTY DOUBLE BLUES!!!!! ;):D

Stop gloating WW.
Took me a while to work your comment out but then like a bolt of lightening :D :p

Time for Ladhams to be considered I think....4 goals, 24 possies - might as well strike while the iron is hot....plus his experience will be useful against the Paps.

Jericho - 2 goals - 13 possies.......I'm not sure who he would displace ???...this is one of the problems for Master Luke.

Meeson spent alot of time up forward and on the bench against the mighty Dogs for his 10 posessions - so it's hard to gauge whether it was a good performance or not given the 52 point win... ;)

Massie's 21 possies were ok for a transition player

Watts - 11 and no goals is a concern - only 3 marks........this is a worry - particularly in a side that had 39 shots at goal for 19.20...(134)......and the CHF didnt bother the scorers.........maybe there were some extenuating circumstances....... .....did he play @ CHB....was anyone there????

Begley looks to have the job in front of him to get back in the side after collecting 13 possies for Sturt.

Scott Stevens kicked 4 for the Pams....but wouldn't be a forward line player for us IMO.......interesting......he has played at CHB and CHF in successive weeks.
Big Freddy Krueger kicked 4 for the Bay Ressies.....so at least he survived a game this week which is a major plus.

PS....Bryce Gibbs got in the best players for the Bay Ressies also...... ;)

Hey, leave Smithy alone, he is a gun, for the might DOUBLE BLUES!!!! ;)

We have re-drafted some dodgy players in the past - HELLO SCOTT HODGES! - we also made a mistake in re-drafting Matt Smith. Jimmy is quite right - great at SANFL level but will never take it to the next level. Sorry to be blunt, but he is a waste of space on our list.
