The General Manager of Football Operations, Jeremy Bourke, will leave the VAFA on 17 June to join the Northern Football League as its new CEO.
“Jeremy joined the VAFA in 2006 and has proven an extremely dedicated and able manager. During his time, he has been responsible for many of the advances made, including the conversion to online registration and recording of results, and the establishment of the U18 and Thirds competitions,” said VAFA CEO Michael Sholly.
“He has also restored the reputation of representative football and enthused many VAFA players about the opportunities of wearing the Big V.”
“I am sure that our clubs appreciate the mountain of work done by Jeremy in his five years at the VAFA. They will miss his professionalism, guidance and friendly approach. The Board is grateful for his input, commitment and advice throughout his tenure,” said VAFA President Bruno Conti.
“We wish Jeremy all the best in his new role. We will miss him. His successor will have big shoes to fill,” Sholly said.

Good luck at introducing a "No Alcohol policy at the NFL".:D

Well done to 'Jezza', a true OH man if ever there was one. I remember watching him play footy back at school, he was an APS star in those days, one day against Geelong College in particular stands out.
He has brought respect to the position of General Manager, one which was vacated by the offical VAFA 'Knob of the century'' winner(BC), who by the way would have been runner up to Sholly if the vote had been held a couple of years later!!!
Word is that Trevor Nisbet has put his hand up again but the VAFA execs won't employ anyone who is a visionary and wants to take the comp forward....come in Phil Stevens!!!

A “chick” President that obviously did such a bad job that she won an A grade flag!!

Why not get Xavs people to run the VAFA – clearly know what it takes to be successful !

It should also read - 2nd in charge behind a retired PE teacher (links to Xavs preferred)
