Jerry West's Draft Day Trades

His trades, whilst rather low key, have me wondering about his motives.

Our biggest strength is our depth, especially at the 1, 2 and 3. We have a very deep rotation, whilst quality draftees like Jones and Bell cannot even make the active roster.

Despite this, he decided to trade money and future picks for a couple of second rounders, a PG (Antonio Burks) and a 2 guard (Andre Emmett).

I couldn't see him doing this unless he planned to make a trade which saw us give up numerous players.

I could be reading too much into it, but it's the only logical conclusion i can reach, given our situation.

Shall be an interesting few months.

Emmett is a good player, dont know about the other 2 never seen them play. I wouldnt look to much into trading for second rounders, Jerry West might just like them and give them a shot in the summer league, and if they dont make it well yous dont lose out on too much.

I think though Emmett has a good chance of being on some NBA roster next year. I thought West shouldve gone with Drejer though.

You might be right, just thought it was worth pointing out.

I've only seen Burks play, and whilst he's not bad, he isn't an improvement on Troy Bell, who couldn't make our active roster at all last year.
