I happened to catch him warbling his new tune "Hope" the other night on some TV program.

And all of a sudden I felt like it was 1986 again. Either that or it was the theme song for the Special Olympics or something.

I mean honestly, didn't he cringe when he wrote such lyrics as -

"We have to keep being strong,
If we're to make it through the storm.
"

Dear me, what a lot of old rot.

Go away.

All well and good but there is a pecking order here and it starts with the father himself. No one has managed to make him bugger off.

On a side note, I swear I saw Don Walker in Subiaco on Friday night, the only talented one in the band.

Hooley Dooley!! I saw the clip the other night too and you have brilliantly put into words what I was thinking.

I s'pose he's got something his dad never had. He looks like a pretty nice sort and the voice is certainly better. But I guess they aren't really of the same genre, (or generation). Funny that! :o

Is it just me or is he starting to look more like his father these days?

And yes his voice is a crap load better than his father's.

Actually, when I first heard the song I thought "Gee, has Noiseworks decided to make a comeback?"

Oh Christ no! The surviving members of Inxs were really on a winner when they recruited Jon Stevens.

Don's easily the most talented songwriter in the band. As for the rest of them, well they were all in awesome form last month in Sydney! Played for nearly three hours each night. I'm bloody happy I had front row seats to the first two nights!

Barnes will not bugger off any time soon. He's sobered up (hasnt had a drink in over 12 months) and his voice is suberb. I'm not kidding. He sang extremley well. Cant wait for the DVD and CD.

Good old Barnsey. Last year he was performing at the opening of the D.ick Smith store in Preston.

Yep, all class.

Depends on whether the filmclip features him singing at a bonfire on some dramatic clifftop setting. That is the classic Noiseworks setting.

Don't get me wrong, Noiseworks were great, but that was 15 years ago.

While his voice may be better than his old mans, the effort he put in with his current single sounds pretty similar, and has crap lyrics to boot.
