That's why I liked it too - had a very similar weekend and even my Pies supporting wife does the whole "Chappiiieeee!!" thing now too!!

"the handicapper' is one of the the greatest wife nicknames going around. I love how media personalities give their partners nicknames for anonimity (I assume). Parko calls his wife Supergirl, Birner calls his little son 'Old Mate' and the famous Zig Ziggler (motivational speaker) calls his wife, 'the redhead'.

Harms is just so easy going, even if you didn't follow the cats, I think the passion for the code would come through for others.

Another great Harms article in the Age today.
Love his work. This is very close to how I spent my finals weekend.

Thanks for the link.

As Cats supporters, I am sure most would have read John's book 'Loose Men Everywhere' one of the best sports books I have ever read. (His other two books are also great reads Confessions of the Thirteenth Man and Memiors of a Mug Punter:thumbsu:)

I have never connected with a book as much as Loose Men Everywhere, in I think was the final chapter where he contemplates what happens when your club does achieve September glory. This is a feeling I can now proudly say I have felt.

Growing up supporting the Roys, I found his accounts remarkably accurate. The passion of September can only ever really be described properly at about 5:30pm on that last day in September. Honestly, walking out of the MCG that day was a surreal experience, and I do remember thinking to myself "What is left in sport?"

I hope you guys can experience that feeling soon, like I did in 2001. It is something you will never forget.

Good Luck, I will be quietly supporting the Cats for the next 3 weeks or so:eek:

No love for Danny's forsmann?

I used to live around the corner. Had some awesome burgers there over the years. Mostly on the way home from the pub.

used to live in arthurton road and travelled past it everyday and after hearing/reading the writeups thought i would try it for myself. it was okay but not "the best burgers in melbourne" as advertised.
