Best game for the club tonight

Let's hope he can continue it and realise that he can be an important cog

Efficient, took contested marks, tackled, carried the ball and didn't turn it over continually

And yes I have been a detractor

You must give these players time. Sometimes they get dropped, they work hard and we reap the rewards.

Hoping like hell that Walker doesn't turn into the whipping boy now as he was much better than last week and slowly picking up the pace.

how good has he been the past 4-5 weeks
he'll become something mark my words
accountable, speedy and his skills above and on the ground have improved immensily!, so has his footskills and handskills, all with maturity
kudos to the coaching staff for persisting, it killed us for the 1st few years, but he is coming good at the right time
I LOVE YOU CARLTON

he would dissapear for a bit, then all of a sudden he'd pop up doing handy little things, his fittness helped him break the lines a couple of times and his disposal wasn't all that bad. signs of improvement.

He was great tonight, he attacked through the corridor extremely well and his disposal is much improved.

P.S.

Doesn't Walker look mature now. His disposal was great tonight, especially by foot. Can't wait until he gets a few more games under his belt.

Probably his first 4 quarter game for the blues. Was a little worried when i saw him on Johnson at the first bounce. BUt did a magnificent job. Most impressive thing for me was his contesting work, good grabs 3rd man up and great rebounding. Disposal was spot on as well.

Have always liked him (probably because he cops so much shit here, lol) and his last 4-5 weeks since coming back have been great.

Have never doubted his athelticism and commitment (as of late), and his skills have always been on the improve. what stuck out the most for me tonight was that he played a SMART game.

Attacked the ball when he had to, played on, slowed it down at appropriate times, stayed back when he had to. I think the most pleasing aspect was he seemed to pick the right times to leave johnson and be the third man at a contest.

lets hope he proves it wasnt a fluke

Those who know a little about the game and are knee jerk reaction compulsive, know JR has a future at Carlton, I am sure he'll still play the occasional poor game and make some poor decisions through them, but in the long term he is a very solid player in the making.
He put an out and out star to the sword tonight, and it wont be the last time (mark my words !)

For those who have made a habit of recklessly caning JR over the last few months/years feel free to post your heart felt apologies below.......
Carn the bluebaggers!!!!!!
