Living in Adelaide we dont get much news on Fremantle but how is Carr settling in and how has been going throught Pre-season?

Carr has settled in very well by all reports and arguably the best player during the pre-season.

So is Schofield, doesn't make him any better than half our squad.

Carr, though, has been very very good. Polished around goal, hard at the ball. Just what we need.

All he needs now is to go through a growth spurt. :D

Mmm, the addition of schofield actually possibly reduces the quality of your list. Josh Carr is perfect for you though. Think he might be the diff between just making the finals and being a genuine contender for freo

Didnt he play in your GF side? I dont know how a GF player can reduce the quality of our list especially midfielders

You'll find out soon enough re Schoey. He's pretty much past it now.

So by that reasoning, the 44 players that participated in the GF last year are the best 44 in the AFL?

Schofield was too inconsistent in the regular season for my liking, and in finals, completely hopeless. His baulking, running style of play completely falls apart under the greater pressure and faster pace.

For that very reason, Mark Williams left it till the last possible moment to select him (injuries and form meant that Stuart Cochrane was the only alternative). Then he only played him in the second half of the GF, when the sting had well-and-truly gone out of the game.

You guys will have Neesham flashbacks if Schoey gets a game. Last year he perfected the art of the handpass to the teammate under pressure, or the perennial favourite, the handpass backwards against the flow of your own forward movement. He's a good kick though.

Love thyself?.

This is called self belief, confidence, love of the game, NOT LOVE THYSELF. How little you know of Surjan. If you dont have these quatilies you will never make it in this world be it sport, business or what ever you do. Good on the Surj. Would Schammer have got this far in such a short time if he hasnt the confidence and self belief. Get of you high horse MASAI AND COMERONK give the kids a go.

How little I know of Surjan? That is one of the funniest things I have heard all day,Have known the kid since he first pulled on the jumper for South Coogee.

So i take it sour grapes that he has gotten to the highest level and you haven't? FWIW I've watched the boy since he was 13 on the recommendation of Santo Merenda and I have had nothing but pleasant experiences with Jacob and the family.

Don't get me wrong I wish him all the success like I do all South Freo boys, Just stating my opinion in regards to him as a person. I have said the same thing about Schammer aswell after having dealings with both more than I would prefer. ;)

The sour grapes part is funny though considering I would never had even looked at football as an option, Great to watch but never interested me in playing. Cricket, now there is a sport I would rather play at the top level.

As a matter of fact I watch most of his junior football with South Coogee and South Fremantle. Cameronk are you a want-a-be.

So let me get this straight, Because I have an unfavourable opinion of the guy personally I am "want-a-be"? Never once have I questioned his ability to play at the top level and do believe he has what it takes to be a star.

Just because my personal opinion of the guy may be different to someone elses does that automatically make it false?

I'm glad you think highly of Jacob, good for you.

Time for a Bex me thinks.

I was asking a question, not a statement.

I for one know that to make it big you have to back yourself and with a large majority this manifests in the ego department.
