So many hurt feelings.

That's a pretty negative comment from the chief backslap officer.

You'll be demoted to junior backslap officer if you're not careful.

you've just strengthened my case ten-fold (re: the over-reaction) with your attempt at sarcasim ... it was not a criticism just a serious observation ... that has been that has been blown out of all proportion. i agree with all points you & others have made (about age, maturity, nerves etc), I was simply making the point (again!!) that this is something else that will need to be worked on in his professional development

It's all good Lionfart. If your stress continues, give Billy Puller a call.

Reserves Wrap - Gold Coast - 02/05/2015 (Shane Woewodin's comments)

Joshy came back from a hamstring (injury) and probably showed that he had missed a week of footy. Lost concentration a fair few times in defensive 50 around stoppage and scrimmage. He needs to focus on that. It was a great effort to get back after a 7-day hamstring we are hoping now another good week on the training track will see him come back in better form next week.

Reserves Wrap - Sydney - 30/05/2015 (Shane Woewodin's comments)

The third defender who is certainly playing a lot taller than what he should be. Saw some real improvement in his spoiling on the weekend. He didn’t get out marked a helluva lot which is really good. A big focus for him has been his spoiling in the past couple of weeks. Didn’t get a lot of offensive drive from us, probably a little bit sore at the moment, Joshy, and looking forward to the bye.

First game back in seven weeks after a groin injury. Only played half a game and came on and played as a wing role –
something different. Certainly didn’t look out of place. We felt he used the ball pretty well, he intercepted the ball a couple of times. He played the role really well, now we’re just looking for him to build on that game and continue to build his match fitness back up.

Reserves Wrap - GWS - 25/07/2015 (Shane Woewodin’s comments)

Played as a third tall defender. Played on some high forwards and became a drop player for us at times, he was pretty good. He missed a few aerial balls in terms of marking, so that’s something for him to work on throughout the week but after an extended break off and a couple of games back now he looks to have found his feet again and we’re looking for him now to finish off the season really well.

Much improved performance from Wattsy. He certainly covered the ground better, he ran really good offensive patterns for us as a defender. He had to play tall at times on the weekend on Lockwood a resting ruckman of types. I thought he positioned him well at stoppage and defended OK. Certainly big improvements on the previous week or two with Josh.

Player Reviews: Part Four

Praised for his progression throughout the season, Josh Watts adapted to the rigours of an AFL environment well. Missing seven weeks during the season with a groin injury, the 19-year-old from Tasmania played as a third tall/defender in the Lions’ Reserves, rebounding well off half-back and making improvements to his offensive play. At 194cm, Watts will add bulk to his frame over the summer months.

Reserves Wrap - Sydney Uni - 14/05/16 (Shane Woewodin's comments)

First game back for Wattsy after 8-9 months. It was great to see him back out on the paddock. He hurt himself early in the first quarter with a seized back. He fought through that for the remainder of the match until three quarter time where we didn’t take any more risks with him for the last quarter. It was too painful and too sore to be able to continue on. He probably spent all of his tickets in the first quarter with what he was doing with his run off half back but it was certainly great to have Josh in the team and providing some good leadership and run and experience around our back half. Hopefully with a week of recovery he’ll be back up and about and ready to go again.
