Brown's time at Fremantle was mentioned just before he kicked a vital goal in the last quarter. I don't think Medhurst got near the ball enough for the commentators to have time to say anything interesting about him.

They only mention medders was from freo when hes playing great.
If hes back to being avg or crap they dont bother saying he was from freo and apparantly he never played great for us.

Either way they were both traded against their will so good luck to them if they have a bit of success. Medders has done nothing with the pies he didn't for us except he has done it more often. However he still goes missing in some games. In Leroy's case he is the same player now as he was when he started with us at 18, a big lump of a bloke who gives his best, however lacks a bit of class. Your point is right in that the media love to look at players who have left us and say how much they have improved.

Brown is a cheap, hard working big ...Malthouse is a smart cookie and knows that if you ahve enough class out there you can carry a clunker or two.

medhurst's best goal kicking season is still when he played for freo, to be honest, the medhurst and reid for tarrant deal is looking more and more in our favour, anyhow its all in the past

He is only getting a game because Malthouse wont play two ruckmen, they get bent over in the ruck.

The opportunity cost of playing a cosmic spud like Brown ahead of Dawes is mind boggling. They should get crushed this week if they put the same team out.

True for Medhurst, but not for Brown. He was told that he would not be an automatic best22 selection with Croad, Pavlich, MacPharlin, Polak being the regular KPP's, and Murphy rising, plus trying to fit too many ruckmen into the squad (Simmonds) meaning that they would also be resting as KPP's. Brown chose the trade.

Let's say Mark Harvey gets sacked(I hope he's the guy that takes Freo to their first Premiership to be honest)...
Who would be the next Coach of the Fremantle Football Club?
We have never really had a big name of the AFL be our coach ie:Gary Lyon,Leigh Matthews to name a few...
Would we target a big name Coach who has been there and won premierships or go after an untried Coach?

Clarkson, Thompson, Worsfold, Roos are the last four Premiership coaches, all newbies. I don't think it matters whether they are tried and trusted or fresh out of coach school. Just need to select the best man for the job that wants the job. Throwing cash around doesn't work (Blight, Pagan, Malthouse) it normally just gets you a Coach who is their for the meal ticket!
