What is it with him? He does some great things, witness the chase last night for that holding the ball tackle and some lovely long passes. He does some downright bad things- spilling marks in the backline and the patented Murphy 'hospital handpass'.

All of the commentators say "Murphy has played well." Are they looking at the raw stats- and not what he does with them, effective disposals compared to turnovers, misfed handballs etc. Do pundits watch the game or just read the stats?

Or is it just me!? He has to be the most frustrating player we have hands down.

Does anybody know why Hotton was dropped? Discipline reasons perhaps? We sure missed his height last night.

You got to be joking!!?? And how can u do that, just simply pick out the most frustrating player our of Carlton THIS season? Justin Murphy has just come from Geelong this season, u expect a brownlow from him straight away do you?
I think he has made a fantastic contribution to Carlton and I am glad we have him back.
As for him being the most frustrating player... thats your opinion and my opinion is that its absolute bulls'hit!

Justin was very good in the Brisbane match that you are referring to. I was at the Gabba and thought he was okay but when I watched the replay, I realised he was even better. Has bounced back from his demotion very well.
