Gday all. Is anyone able to tell me if Kane Cornes at some stage has had a serious injury to his right collar bone/shoulder area.
The reason i ask, is whenever i see him, doing his little spiel on the news, i have noticed his right collar bone protrudes quite noticeably. And that is common with an injury called shoulder separation.
It occurs when you have a huge blow to the point of your shoulder, and the ligaments that keep your collar bone attached and close to your shoulder structure, actually break or tear. Which then causes the collar bone to spring up, and separate from the shoulder. It can quite easily be seen as a big lump in the shoulder.
I have had that very injury, after a motor bike accident. My collar bone didn't break, but i tore my ligaments. It's actually better to break the bone, than rip ligaments. I had a pin put through my collar bone to squeeze it up tight again. But my body rejected the pin and had it removed again. I have that lump that Kane has. But not quite as pronounced as Kane's. I put that down to body fat
I'm wondering if he has had this injury, how did he do it, and does it affect his footy ? I was told i wouldn't be able to lift my arm above my head after i had two operations, but i can easily. The only problem i have is an ache when its cold.
I could be way off track here, and it may just be his body shape. But his left shoulder always looks normal compared to his right.
Here's a pic that sort of shows what i mean. Can anyone shed any light ?
Edit.... I cant find any other pics with him having this lump. I first noticed it when watching him on the news. Is it recent if it exists ?
