do all of u richmond supporters seriously rate kent kingsly?? wot makes u think he will play well at richmond if he couldnt dominate vfl reserves???
comments?

Go away troll.

When has a Richmond supporter said that he will be good for us? We didn't draft him, Wallace did and I think most of us would have rathered him not being here, but he is and now we will support him and I hope he can find the form which made him the leading goalkicker of Geelong so many times.

simple really , for the first time in his career he will be sharing a forward line with a couple of genuine stars in Richo and Browny that will attract attention !st and 2nd before they turn toward KK...Unfortunately that couldnt be said down at the cattery....Hope that helps:confused:

God it's funny how what happened in 2006 has completely changed everyone's view on Kingsley.

2002-2005 he was a very good player, not a champion but still a good player.

He almost certainly won't have a repeat of 2006, the only question is how much of his good form will he recapture?

I'm with you Benny , He had one really shocking year. Think he deserves the chance now he is with the tigers. He was in very good former at the start of 2006 with 9 goals against the Blues in a nab cup match before doing a hamstring then came back in round 2 and got 8goals . unfortunately it went bad after thatwith injuries and things. I think we will see him hit form again this year and recon we should give him the chance.

no he wasnt a superstar in 02-05 it was just that he lead the goalkicking all those times because there wasnt anyone else good enough down at that dump, a bit like richo all these years

i dont buy that argument that he is a 3rd forward because he will get the same defender from opposition clubs this year than what he has in the past so it means nothing

richo - best oppostion tall back
brown - best oppsotion small back
hacksley - best opposition attacking defender who will kill us

cant wait :thumbsd:

After talking to Kingsley at family day today i think he will go alright.

Well, just as well you made it down there to give him his orders and set him straight then mate!!

Actually, I am a bit jealous as I grew up just a short skateboard down to Jells Park and would have loved to have been there.

It really hurts me to say this but i think he will go alright aswell. The tigers would be happy with 30 goals for the yr, 3rd forward the pressure is off him really.

The only problem is if Richo and him dont gel i guess, then you might have a problem. Good luck to him, a decent player at the cats, i hope he does well for the tiges. ( just not when playing the cats)

I still maintain he wasted his time at the cattery. Good footballer or bad footballer he gave his career to geelong and without him who was going to kick goals for them? The year he has a bad one geelong don't make the finals. Cats supporters really suck.

I am a Collingwood supporter first and foremost, and a Brisbane supporter second, simply because of living on the Sunshine Coast. I made a lengthy post on the Brisbane board as to why KK would be a good option for them. He is a good option for Richmond and would have been for Collingwood. His goal per game average is exactly the same as Chris Tarrant and Daniel Bradshaw, and any club would be happy to pick up Bradshaw and to a lesser extent Tarrant, simply because of why Taz would be asking salary wise.

I have no love for the Tigers, but rate Terry Wallace highly and I hope that Kent is a huge success for Richmond.

Well done Glyndon. I couldnt have said it better. I am a Geelong supporter , who now follows the Tigers also. I have a membership this year and think Richmond will go places , for sure. watch this forward line this year , I really think its going to work.

:O traitor.

Hey I have a geelong membership also. But Kent looked after my son when he was hit by a car and has done a lot for him in his recovery. Just think he got a raw deal at Geelong last year. and The Tigers are going to be worth watching this year.

I am not sure that he got a raw deal at the Cats last season. He kicked 8 first up and then fell off the pace and as they were struggling they obviously needed different options up forward. Having said that though, Bomber Thompson may have made up his mind that Kent was going to be delisted or traded and saw no point in playing him. So, like I said, maybe not a raw deal but maybe the realities of modern football.

sorry to hear about your son, hope he is ok now with full recovery.

just a few points on KK

after reading your post, it just shows KK is a person with gr8 character, exactly the kinda person and players richmond need!

second, all you KK baggers, P off!
i have watched KK neing mistreated at geelong just as much as richo has been at tigerland. But KK has one thing on every player at richmond,,,,
HE CAN PLAY AT TELSTRA DOME, WHERE WE CANT.
i have sen KK bag many goals at the dome against quality opponents.
KK has a gr8 history against many of teh better sides, esp the bombers, even when they were a form team, KK always kicked a bag v the bombers.

all u tigers bagging the guy, get ready to eat humble pie, he is a better player and a better option than what jay schulz will ever be!

jay is lazy and wont make it, KK will play more games than jay this yr, wait and see

I suppose it depends on the supporters, but I hope that Kent does well, just as I sincerely hope that Chris Tarrant does well in the West and Jason Akermanis does well for the Bulldogs. Its good to see good players play well.

I always found it amusing that Kingsley basically landed on Geelongs door step as exactly what he was,a largely unproven flanker with doubtless potential to kick 40-60 a year all things going well.A nice type of player you might say.It didn't cost Geelong a lot to get him and he certainly wasn't the great white hope.
It speaks volumes as to where the cats forward line is at that overnight for the following 4 seasons he became the lynch pin,the money man...if the cats were ordinary blame Kingsley, the big tall power forward. All it done was hide and protect the fact that all of the other blokes were useless.
I am relishing the opportunity to play Kent in the role he is designed for,and without that ridiculous unrealistic pressure and expectation he will be a great addition to the mighty tigers!
