SEN throwing around unconfirmed reports that Ladson went down at training yesterday and won't play.

Anyone heard this? would be bad luck for the Hawks if it is true. I know we have a few out but they have been hit pretty hard. Also BT "broke" a story on the radio that Burgoyne is out for 8 weeks. Don't know how much cred that has, He has been known to "break" wind not stories

It gets to a point where a team has so many injuries you feel bad for them, even if you're playing them this week.

I think Hawthorn, not to mention Melbourne (apparently we diagnosed Buckley with a groin problem who Collingwood staff then diagnosed as a hip problem and he had surgery, now it's better), have to have a good look at their medical staff.

Hawks didn't train yesterday mate. They are training today at 11am.

If this is true i will be very very disappointed.

Add to that embarrassed and shattered.

Only reason why I accepted his delisting was his injuries which seemed to be the end of him! That and his disposal was very ordinary at times. Ultimately I would be 99% sure that if Newton, Bell + Meeson werent contracted for this season one of them (Newton or Bell) would've been delisted and not Buckley.

EDIT:^^^^ love it Chopper! that is definitely our club medico!

You mean the medicos that saved Ricky Petterd's life? Those ones?

Ahhh SEN, you do make me rofl.

Laddo is all good, and just to the OP, you're right about BT breaking wind more than 'major' news. Burgoyne will play Round 2 for BHH, then after maybe 1 or 2 games there will come into the one's.

I think what BT has done is, heard AC's interview the other day, where Clarkson said Burgoyne is on a modified "Mini Pre-Season", and just gone the most extreme case and said 8 weeks.

Good luck tomorrow guys, I think you might surprise a few. :thumbsu:

Relax- clearly tongue in cheek, the Dr Nick picture was funny.

I am however, unconvinced that our medicos are as well resourced as many other clubs, the amount of longer term injuries that some clubs seem to detect earlier is very impressive compared to us. Ie, hot spots in feet devloping into stress fractures- Garland v Cunningham whose was detected early. And OP, Moloney etc vs say Rioli, whose has been detected before it got really serious. And if that Buckley story is true (big if) then thats not acceptable.

Vast majority of our injuries this season have been collision based and unavoidable, but any advantage we can get by detecting injuries early would be much needed!

Personally i thought Buckley was "ok", nothing to get excited about though. Do you think it would be fair to say that Buckley would have struggled to hold a place in our best 22 in about 2-3years from now (hard to comment i guess)? I think he would definitely struggle. Oh well bring on 2010.

Buckley had his operation whilst still at the club, and got back to playing VFL with us before preseason at Collingwood.

Now we might have mucked up by thinking his injury was more serious than it it, but I'll wait until he plays for Collingwood before making any judgement.
