He has killed us in the past and is a renowned tactician. We have no one with experience in the coaching reigns and it has been exposed multiple times this year.

Don't mind the idea but I somehow think that if he doesn't get a top job he will probably not coach in 2010 especially under someone

I don't see Laidley as a particularly good development coach, more as a tactician. I'd prefer him as an assistant than as a development coach. I'm hoping like hell that Richardson doesn't get a senior job, because he has been that good for us.

Dont think Laidley would see the Essendon 2's job as a great option.

Would love to see the club get him but I think he will go to a big spending powerful club like West Coast or Adelaide. Maybe Carlton could start spending some of Pratts money wisely and pick him up.

Just putting it out there that if we decide to go down that path we might need a more experienced coach to ctatpult us up the ladder and he seems to be great with the young blokes seemed to do alright and kangas with a bad list why not essendon reaserves

I agree, probably more of a gameday coach rather than a development coach, having said that he has a lot of mongrel which is what our team needs. A kick in the as$ every now and then wouldn't go a stray
