With pick 43 Carlton should seriously consider drafting Mitch Thorp if available he is worth a punt. A forwardline of Kruezer, Henderson, Thorp sounds good. Its a shallow draft even Jess Smith we should consider. Another kid Majek Dew, saw some highlights he could be anything very exciting prospect. Carlton have a great opportunity to really recruit and draft well this pre season before Gold Coast and W Sydney grab all the picks.

43 no. It is likely that there will be some players Hughs and co rate in the top 25-30 left at that pick such is the eveness of the draft after about 18-20. Pick the best available for both, hopefully eh best avaiable being a tallish player at 12 and then Thorpe at 59 would be fine. Maybe even 75.
Simon Buckley and even Aaron Kite will be rookied.

Say no to recycled players, esp at one pick at 43 where good young players are still available.

i don't see the need for this obsession with talented, but broken down players from other clubs ...

Generally the strike rate of recycled players in the ND or PSD (at Carlton anyway) is pretty poor, for any late picks over 60 or 70 in the draft, I would suggest the club goes for mature age recruits (ie between the ages of 19 and 23) from the WAFL or SANFL, more likely to get an quality longer term pick there then just going for recycled hacks.
