Dude, they had kids playing for the Buffs.
I know you love your Maggies, and I think they're a good club, but don't get too carried away, old son!

Crisis talk for battered Buffs
ANDREW ALOIA
07Jan08

DARWIN'S brain trust will tomorrow night gather at Pint Club to plot out the beleaguered NTFL club's future.

After Buffaloes were humbled by 193 points by Palmerston at Southern Cross Oval yesterday, coach David Ross freely admitted he was in charge of an embattled team.

"Something is wrong for sure," Ross said.

"What we have to do is strategise how we will go about our football next year.

"And how we will get senior players back, players who are serious about Buffs who want to train and play."

Buffaloes president John Ah Kit said the meeting had been scheduled as a mid-season review, denying any talk of a crisis.

He did, however, concede the coaching staff and elected board members would have to talk in depth about the future of the Double Blues.

"This season was always going to be hard, a rebuilding year," he said.

"We will look at where the problems lie and how best to address them."

Players missing at training have emerged as the root of the team's recent failing.

Ross did not hesitate in naming a second-string outfit, comprising largely of untried teenagers against one of the league's inform outfits.

The result did not surprise him.

Nor does he intend to change the club's tactics of fielding only players who commit to training.

"It was to be expected with the training we have had," he said.

"The first night we returned to training this year only three players rocked up.

"Last week it was only eight on Tuesday and 18 on Thursday and no senior players at all.

"The 18 that turned up are the 18 that played and that is how it is going to be for the rest of the season."

Im just warning especially sT FAIRIES supporters who think their side is good. lol. that they are nothing. I will now read the rest of your response.

It was a bit strange that the last rounds scores werent even mentioned!!! until i put thios thred up.
