Wouldn't it be great if Leigh was still captaining Geelong ....especially with the injuries this weekend.....any thoughts?

Love Leigh, but in terms of leadership, i wouldn't swap him for Ling.

Yeah, I agree with phatandphreaky as much of a champ that Colbert is and was at geelong, Lingy is an exceptional player and shows admirable leadership skills, undeniably a future captain at the club…..Let’s hope the cats can stand tall and kick the blues arse!

I'd borrow him just for this weekend, but other than that I wouldn't want him back at Geelong.

Ling should have been made Captain in the absence of King. Most definitely the best leader we have at the club - even when you include King.

How can you say that? Colbert captained one game, a praccy match. We don't know what sort of captain he may have been, could have been a good one, could have been a poor one.

any one who wants to leave dosnt deserve to play for us
they have got to want to be there.

Did anyone see what he said on the Footy Show this morning? I only saw the preview bit but missed the actual interview cos we were off to the footy. What did he say?

Colbert did not like the attitude that Geelong had when he was Captain. They didn't want to aim high and thought they were going to finish low. He wanted to be a part of a team that still wanted to aim high even if they didn't have the cattle, like (supposedly) the Kangas.

Nothing particularly good or juicy....it was all just media hype so you'd keep watching their show.
