Thought the great man deserved his own thread but just had it confirmed that this will be his last year. Hopefully we can win one to send him off the right way.

Apologies if this has been posted elsewhere been overseas the last 4 weeks haven't been reading BF

Confirmed by who?

Source from someone inside the club, obviously won't say who but it's definite.

No idea when it'll be announced, probably soon though id assume.

Richo also hinted at it on the footy show this morning as well

I wonder if we will send him off at our last home game against the dogs? wouldn't want to send him off in radelaide at our last game for the year.

Sad news if true, would've loved him to go on one more year but can understand if he wants to call it quits at his age and with the battering he's copped over the years.

Hopefully he stays on as an assistant coach next year.

Very depressing that the great man will leave without a flag yet hack maxwell is a premiership captain. His game in the drawn grand final epitomises everything about him. Sometimes the pain i feel for the lost grannys is more for him roo and co. Lifes a btch sometimes

At most, we have seven more opportunities to witness Lenny.

Seven is not a big number, unless it's on his back.

Small chance it's this week against Freo, right? Ross in attendance, not getting that close to 300, give a young bloke a chance for the rest of the year?

Any chance Dunstan can wear the number for the rest of the year a la Xavier Clarke in 2003?

Congrats Lenny true champion

We trust the AFC to do the right thing and tell the AFL that our round 23 clash should become a St.Kilda home game so that we can send him off properly in his last game. And then for you to play your most inexperienced team available, ensuring he goes out on a high.
