We've had a horror July, but with the end of July brings a new beginning. Yes, we have been flat over the last few weeks and let a few opportunities slip but despite the poor performances we still find ourselves in 5th position after 17 rounds. Let’s put the last few weeks behind us and look to the future, yes, we do have difficult stretch coming up, but as easy as it is to forecast us to lose all 5 remaining matches we could just as easily win all 5 and charge into the finals.

Instead of looking at the negatives, let’s look at the positives. We have a fantastic opportunity to hit back next week and redeem our poor performance, on our home track, in front of a huge crowd against a rival in Essendon. Its very easy to get caught up in the moment and become disappointed if we have a few down weeks, but lets have a positive (and balanced) outlook on the rest of the season.

After round 1, who would have predicted that we would be sitting in 5th position after 17 rounds?

I'm hoping to get a good birthday present come late August by Hawks sealing a spot in the finals against the Bulldogs. Clarko should remind them of the run home we had last year and the way we played in the run home.

Agree. :thumbsu:

One of the big positive is the debut of Thorp, Tuck, Moss and Little.

Also further exposure into Dowler.

Lets hope they can play a few more.

i just want to see some grit and determination and less deporable skill errors that make me want to throw plates across the room...

seeing some guys actually tackling and going hard at he ball will also help.

Watch McGlynn, Hodge & Brown.

Don't watch anyone else.
