Does anybody have experience or knowledge regarding obtaining a license in another state when you are about to loose your license suspended?

I want to know legal and beurocratic issues regarding this as a possible loop hole?

My friend was about to have his license suspended in Qld and as result decided to go to NSW for work temporarily. A fella working at the NSW transport office said that there was a loop hole in the system where he could apply for a NSW license due to the fact that he was going to reside there. He had an address of residence for NSW and had his bank change his address and had it printed out to present and got his NSW licesne and was free to drive there.
He did this before his suspension of license was officially recognised, that is the 28 days you have to accept the suspension and pay or take it to court and challenge it.

I want to do the same in Victoria and fly down there and "live" there with family. Now I will be "Travelling" to Qld quite frequently but not residing there.

Am I allowed to drive in Queensland with a Victorian license?

I found the answer incase anybody needs this information;

I can obtain a Victorian drivers license if I apply for it before my suspension in Queensland kicks in. That is if i intend to be a Victorian resident.

Once I obtain a Vic license I can drive in Victoria or any other state except queensland which is where I recieved my suspension.

Safe driving

Is that how you got your license suspended? ;)
Pretty much you are aware that Luxury European cars were made to travel safely between the 100km-200km speeds?

Three years not one fine, I decide to gun it over a 2km three lane bridge at night with nobody around and bang, bye bye license.

If anything a lesson learned, i probably wont consider speeding excessively again.

can't decide if this is a brag or a beat?

Umm, sorry to tell you but the rules are around regardless of the traffic and the situation.

Looks like you weren't alone.
