I absolutely hate them with passion! Street rats who hang around town thinking they are top shit.

I got my $1,000 bike stolen today and i ****ing saw the rat that did it. If the bloody cops around here would do something, i would have it back by now.:thumbsd::thumbsd::thumbsd:

Not happy at all! But honestly, how low can you get? They also stole a little 6 years bike. His parents were not with him and he had no parent or guardian to help him.

Low life ****heads!!!!:thumbsd::thumbsd::thumbsd:

Who do you love now?

Hover bikes!:D

Sorry Scotty.

If you saw him, you'd be pretty safe to get it back in a country town. I mean, if you give a description to the cops, then the bastard would be recognised pretty quickly.

Not being racist but the kid is aboriginal and i am from home the land of aboriginals pretty much. But things are looking good. Got all the info we need. Now just waiting till tomorrow to confront the little effer.

Off topic, but it really shits me that people feel the need to say they're not being racist, when they're simply stating a fact. If he's Aboriginal, then he's Aboriginal. You're not racist.

But our society is too PC to accept that calling an Aborigine Aboriginal is not racist.

Not attacking you, Scotty, just our ****ed up society.

On the other hand, if he's not being racist, there is no need to point out the race. (Not label, but point out.)

Anyone who starts with "I'm not a racist, but..." or some variation of, is usually about to go on to say something racist.

I blame a society where the racism card is played, despite racism not being an issue, and people feel that any mention of race is racist.

The kid was Aboriginal. I'm not racist for saying that he is Aboriginal. Scotty shouldn't feel that he is racist for pointing out that the kid is Aboriginal, or that a lot of Aboriginals live near him.

Am I racist because a lot of Italians live near me?

One day i was washing my eskies, i have about 3 or 4 and as i was letting them dry leaning up against the garage some young fellas walking past started snooping around.

I had gone in to take a phone call and i saw these guys snooping around through my curtains as the curtains are kind of seethrough. I yelled out "Oi, you plot-in on my boy, and they ran off".

I hate thieving bastards.

Eskies are fair game, but stealing bikes is out of order, how are you ment to get to the bottleo when your too pissed to drive?

Bottle-O's should be open 24/7 and do home delivery at all times. Just think of the money they could make at 4am on a Sunday.

Poor Scotty, maybe offer the little kid and can of petrol or something in return for the bike?

You're not racist if you say someone is Aboriginal.

I'm saying it's racist to bring it up when there's no reason - i.e. Scotty probably had a very clear motive for saying the kid was Aboriginal.

If you said lots of Italians live near you, that's fine.

If you said "My bike got pinched. I'm surrounded by Italians", you're implying another thing altogether.

There was absolutely no need to bring it up in this case except to imply that the kid stole it because he's Aboriginal. For example, my neighbour really pisses me off. But I don't go around saying, "My neighbour is an arseh*le. He's Polish." This would imply that I feel his Polish-ness has something to do with him being an arseh*le.

I interpreted as Scotty saying the thief was one of many Aborigines rather than he stole it because he was Aboriginal.

I see your point, but this is one of many examples of "I'm not racist but" which are fairly inoccuous statements.

I just don't get why it matters that the thief is "one of many Aborigines".

I don't think it is inherently racist to point out that the thief was Aboriginal.

I'm a white male, so I imagine that most posters are white males. (You're an exception for obvious reasons:p).

Perhaps Scotty was thinking along the same lines.

Scotty described the kid as "little" and "aboriginal". That's a pretty accurate description without going into fine details.

If I was to point out the kid on the right, I'd say "Look at the girl". I'm not being sexist.

If I was to point out the kid at the front, I'd say "Look at the black kid". I'm not being racist.

The point is, mentioning someone's race when describing them isn't racist.

$200 reward i think. But if the guy gives it back. There will be no reward thieving little shit.

I don't agree. When describing someone it's natural to point out their most obvious physical trait; it's a key identifier. I'm sure if the thief was a bogan he would have said it was a bogan, or if it was a priest he would have said it was a priest. The first thing you'll notice about an aborigine is that he/she is an aborigine. It's not racist, it's just how you first categorise them. This may have been why he pointed out the kid's race.

At first glance, your Polish neighbour wouldn't stand out as polish, but if you described him to someone you might pick the most obvious thing about his appearance. If he had a big red bushy beard, you'd probably say "some bastard with a big red bushy beard stole my bike". Get it?
