Looking forward to seeing this kid kick on. He played junior footy at Park Orchards where one of my young sons plays and was an excellent player for the club. I hope he can remain injury free for the Swannies this year and break his way into the side. Good luck to him, we'll be keeping an eye on him down here!

Not seen him train or play this year, but reports do state he is going to really kick on if given ample oportunity of gametime in the seniors. Great kick of the ball, can find it without do much trouble and can run like the wind and all day if need be. Certainly expect to see him take an improved role in the senior side this season if the form and injuries stay right.

Hmm... I just had a thought. How's this for the wings and flanks? Kennelly and Bolton across half-back, Malceski and Dempster on the wings, and Davis and O'Keefe across half-forward. The ball will move like a Rolls-Royce.

I like, I like but I think that we should bring McVeigh into the line up on one wing (and of course Malceski on the other) and move Dempster onto a half back flank.

Maybe have the team like this...

I reckon we need a bit more grunt in the midfield than that team would provide. It is stacked full with players we hope can carry it well and kick it long, and they should all spend some time in the positions shown. But the only two real in-and-under ball winners included in that midfield are Bolton and Kirk. You want to have a Buchanan or Ablett, at least, in there helping them out.

I like it a lot. No obvious flaws in my opinion, except that we can't fit everyone in..

I have seen a couple of matches and the only apparanent thing holding the Fridge back is hitting targets with his raking long kicks.Will make an ideal half back flanker IMO.
