Murp was good.......the hardest thing in football is to win the bloody thing and he did that ok.....his skills and decision making will come in time and no doubt the Blues will have a terrific 200 games plus player.Wouldn't say he played 4 good quaters but I certainly think after watching it again that he played alot better than most gave him dredit 4. In hindsight I'd definately have him in our best. I think its just that a coupe of his missed shots really stuck out because it is getting so frustrating to watch. His 2nd half disposal in particular was really good and he certainly uped his intensity and went in harder. Led the game in contested possesions
Don't get me wrong, i think Marc Murphy will be a fantastic player of the future, but his opponent last night was Travis Tuck with 1 game to his name.
I'm still very excited at the fact that Stevens only has a 50/50 chance of being tagged. Imagine what he could do with no-one breathing down his neck! Infact, while i'm touching that subject, imagine what Judd could do with no-one on him!Given that Judd and Stevens will be tagged before Murphy, you could expect that Murphy to have a fairly good influence over games in 2008. Will certainly not get the best tagger each week like he did last year.

yes, well said. He should improve alot from last year. I have no doubt. Just don't think 30 touches a week is to be expected just yet. maybe when he's about 21, 22?
No doubt Murph is a gun. But something is not quite right at the moment. Just looks to be lacking confidence when he gets the ball. Almost as if he doesn't know what to do with it.
His disposal at times last night was terrible - you don't just rectify that in five weeks.
