Is not joining Essendon next year and looks likely to leave Geelong. Do you think he could be an assistan coach at Carlton?
Discuss.

Take a demotion to earn 300k as an AFL assistant coach, or retire and live off a multi million dollar property deal thats gone through. Hmmm let me think about it.

Going by this and past articles and statements, the preferred option is "not at all" but he is doing the right thing and seeing his contract out. It's fairly obvious he doesn't want to work the long, annoying hours of being an AFL coach anymore and who can blame him. He has enough money to retire now and his passion is just about gone. He's one of the lucky ones who get to retire rather than get fired.

Hey, I've got an idea. Kevin Rudd is no longer the PM, so why don't we go after him.

While were at it, how about we give the boys from Powder Finger a ring.

Apparently Simply Red are calling it quits, we should see if they want to join the Blues.

:rolleyes::o:(:mad::thumbsd:

All of you say that Bomber wouldn't want to demote himself to an assistant coach to a head coach. But Bomber was linked to Essendon as an assistant coach after Hird was already named as head coach

Before making rediculous threads ask yourself:

WHY would he leave Geelong and knock his former club Essendon back if he was interested in being an assistant coach? For probably less money too!!!!

I know it's only a thought and I would really be all for it BUT no chance it'll ever happen.

He wont be taking a position at any other club if he does quit. If he chooses not to coach Geelong next year i guarantee he will not seek another job.

He has probably lost interest in coaching as he has recently become very rich due to an investment in an area near Geelong where he and a couple other bought a patch of land, which the government now wants to turn into a small town. Apparently hes set to become a very very wealthy.
