Hey guys

As a new south welshman Tiger fan I depend almost entirely on the internet as my source of footy info. It's good - but it leaves gaps.

I'd love to hear some more about this Marty McGrath guy. He has been mentioned often by some of you well informed Tiger fans and I must admit he sounds pretty exciting. When was the last time we had a guy who could take a regular old school screamer? Mitchell? (Not that it will win us a premiership but I like that sort of stuff)

I presume there are some cons to put aside his pros - I'd like to hear the full story. Cheers in advance.

Also - well done OMH on the player reviews - great stuff.

will try my best here goes.
mcgrath has cousins playing for ess and bris[maybe not both but i know at least one is]he certainly has a big leap and has pretty good hands.he,s pretty well balanced and seems to have all the time in the world that most aboriginal players do.
however this is where his problem lies and that his height is in between nothing.too tall for a crumbing fwd or midfielder and too small for a key position player.
we have 2 options for him:
play him on a wing where i believe he has the skill and pace to adapt but he would be 2yrs off from actually making an impact in such a position.
or
use him as the 3rd marking fwd along side richo and staff/ottens.this last senerio is probaly the least probable atm.i cant see mcgrath and richo playing along side each other and flying for the ball.
he is very much a project player who we have gambled on but he has the makings of an afl player if he wants it that bad.
he,s exciting yes but still a bit raw round the edges.

cheers!

cheers T.O.O.

Does sound promising - hopefully he can progess over the next season or 2.
