Just wondering what the go is with him retiring? From an opposition pov, I havent seen too much of him lately, but from what I've seen, he is a reliable forward and doesn't seem to be on the last legs.

IMO he got pushed. Pure and simple. He's a bit one dimensional so guys like Aker and Higgins were in front of him for game time, but he'd still be a handy player but obviously Eade wanted the extra spot on the list and maybe the extra $ to go around too.Just wondering what the go is with him retiring? He was getting limited opportunity. Even though he kicked 50 last season Higgins replaced his role in the forward line.
It was sad to see him go, i shed a tear. He was my favorite player.

Really, that's a surprise. He looked to enjoy it all so much last year.At the Selector's Table Thursday night Robbins said that he told Eade after round 8 that he'd had enough and it would be his last year.
