Otten, the brother of Adelaide’s Andy, has continued to improve his game as a rebounding defender. He is tall enough to play on a key forward or he can switch and play on a small forward. The highlight of his game is his rebound from defence and providing attacking options for his team. He can also play on a wing and find plenty of the ball, mainly in uncontested situations. What type of player are you?
Good link up player who reads the play well and makes good decisions by foot and hands.
Which AFL player do you feel you resemble, and why?
Grant Birchall - left footer, who is able to play on a variety of heights and provides great counter attack.
What are your strengths as a footballer?
Decision making, reading the play and anticipating, also disposal by foot.
What parts of your game would you like to improve?
Contested ball, speed.
Which AFL team do you support and how did you come to barrack for them?
Hawthorn - my grandparents and dad barracked for them, so I grew up in a Hawks family.
Who has been the biggest influence on your career so far, and why?
My dad - always supporting and has always been there for me.
