signed on again today but as an interstate member we only see our team play once a year at best. hit the telemarket guy up for payin extra difference to get training singlet instead of cap (gets hot here in wa) and was knocked back

surely they can come up with an interstate package or flexibility for members and faithful not able to watch the guys go around each week

anyone with any pull listening?

There's a few posters around here with pull, but probably not the kind you're looking for.

Seems a bit slack, but at the same time, if everyone upgrades, the packaging process would be slowed down to a crawl and therefore cost the Club far more than the difference.

I'm going to see if I can't upgrade from a cap to a Lexus. Stick that in the post ya bastards!!

At last years AGM Tess raised some issue on behalf of interstate members. She, and the members, were categorically promised that Sally Cap was on the case and would ensure things improved. From what I can gather Sally’s performance in that regard has mirrored that of most of the board and football in that little has been achieved and no one is accountable for the lack of achievement. Tess may be better placed to comment than I am. If anyone can tell me what the unelected board member, Sally Capp has done in her time on the board I’d be appreciative.

Mark, I have spoken to the club, and they have appointed ex-Marine Cpt. Jason Decoy to set up a working party in Arizona to investigate your concerns with a view to setting up a review process for 15 years into the future. When the report is finalised in 2007, Neil Balme will fax a copy to all members for comment.

I'm with you on this. I'm from QLD and we dont even get a game up here next year.
It's all good to have the full membership, but for all supporters in QLD next year we pay $465 for some novelty goodies and a mag subscription.
I have emailed them about interstate packages and they say the best option, other than a full membership is the magpies nest membership. Nothing much there though.

There was a list of new interstate membership packages posted on Nick's by the person running the membership department. Most interstate members there seem pleased with the new package's. As far as I could see was that if offered better than what any other AFL club offered interstate members.

This is what was posted at Nick's.

http://www.magpies.net/nick/bb/view...=0&postorder=asc&highlight=interstate&start=0

Supporter Group Member approx $20
(access to functions and tickets)

Magpie Nest $80

Season Ticket $100
(Entry to five home games)

Interstate Membership $110
(Entry and reserved seat at one interstate match)

Social Club Package (interstate) $190
(Entry to interstate match and reserved seat, access to the Grand Final Ticket Ballot and Social Club facilities and entry to five home games - this is not offered by the other clubs.)

Please also note

 There is no CFC match in Queensland this year so unfortunately we are unable to offer these packages for the 2006 season. However, should the club be fixtured to play a game in Brisbane in 2007 a similar package will be available.
 As there are two matches in Adelaide this year we have chosen entry to the Port Adelaide match – we will endeavour to assist to members with access to tickets for the Adelaide Crows match but this will be subject to availability.

Also just to respond to a couple of other points raised –

Yes - we will look at how we can help to start a supporters group in Darwin.
Yes – we are aware of the situation re the Sydney Supporters Group and we will make sure any issues are resolved
Please note that you do not have to be a member of the club to be a member of a supporter group
There are supporter groups in Tasmania – please contact Bree if you need any information.

$190 for interstate social club members. That's not bad considering social club membership is worth $165 with no entry to games.
