I know there was a tribute album with 8 songs covered by different bands, Trivium did Master of Puppets.

I like Metallica, probably why i love Trivium aswell.

So now Metallica are releasing old songs on a new album? Isn't this just another way to make money, which they have already done in the past i.e. S&M. FFS just give up and stop selling s.h.i.t. to your fans! St Anger was a joke and will never be listened to again by myself, and once again they are going to take advantage of their loyal fanbase to make a buck. Another way of doing this was releasing load, reload and garage inc all within a few years am i right? Which saw ordinary tracks put on cd's to once again make some coin!!!

S&M was good, Load and Reload however....

Sad But True (Hehe, bad joke, I know). Had their trinity of albums: Ride The Lightning, Master of Puppets and ...And Justice For All (Just like Iron Maiden: Number Of The Beast, Piece Of Mind and Powerslave) and have done nothing since. The Black Album was marginally acceptable and everything since is garbage and not really metal IMO. Merely reinforces the fact that without Mustaine (best songwriter they ever had) and Cliff Burton (best musician they ever had and the soul of REAL Metallica) they would only ever have been a nobody garage band.

I agree that bands have 'trinities' of albums. Metallica is most definitely ONE (sorry, but I had to match your bad pun). But I don't agree that Maiden is another. Have you heard the 1st 2 Maiden albums???? Absolute Metal GOLD....

Totally agree mate- Iron Maiden and Killers are two awesome albums (Iron Maiden is better than Piece of Mind IMO, and close to NOTB)

Yeah, completely disagree with you there: PoM is nowhere near that good IMO. SSOASS is also better than Killers. Oh, and I didnt mean that NOTB, PoM and PS were necessarily MY trinity, just the generally acceptable one. Just clearing that up.

Anyway, back on topic, Metallica are a just a crap sell out now anyway- no longer metal. Megadeth best > Metallica's best anyway.
