Is there a reason why other or all the mids are not rested/rotated through the forward line as Martin has been?? For example I was thinking Foley & wondered how he might go pinch hitting there? Is it worth experimenting with? thoughts Tigerheads.

i dont like the fact that martin goes forward... when he's in the middle he gets clearances. he had the most clearances in our team with 8.

I do Martin is a Mathews clone. In another 5 years when we get other mids Scully etc.. Martin will be doing it all in the forward line and middle. Let him develop and enjoy, the kid is a natural footballer!!!:thumbsu::thumbsu:

funny how everyone thinks we'll just end up with scully.

Id prefer to see lids rotated thru the 50 more. ace mark and kick.

If the mid being rotated needs to use speed, and endurance for running out and back, then it defeats the purpose of going there. The idea is for a "break". Martin can do it because he can stand still, and go contested with a player if/when it goes in. As can Cotchin, Lids, and Jackson, and hopefully Conca ASAP (tho Jackson has got enough endurance, and not quite enough goal sense, to get a benefit). Small mids (and HF), like Nason, White, Edwards, Foley, IMO, don't make for good fwds while resting there.
