Okay, say we pick up Butcher in next years draft. Where does this leave Miller?

We would potentially have four tall forwards in - Miller Watts Jurrah Bate and maybe Petterd.

He hasnt performed this year to my standards of his ability, should we trade him off maybe for another pick around the 20-30's?

Really dont know whether Watts and Butcher will be senior players next year both young and still filling out there bodies would be good to let them develop in the VFL.

Add to your list Juice who is contracted and because of that will probably stay.

I see bate and petterd both being players who have stints in the midfield.

I would keep Miller but if the trade is there for a 2nd round pick probably trade him.

We wont take Butcher. He is overrated.

Miller and Newton should be put on the trade table on the off chance someone offers something.

Gotta agree with GB, for sure.

As long as the 'price' is right anyway... and as long as we're sure that Miller's set shot problem is without hope of improvement.

The thing about it is Miller has been crap this year, so there's no way that any club is going to offer much for him. Having said that, I still say trade to Bulldogs.

The thing about Miller is he's always been crap, even in his supposed "breakout season" last year:
goals per game (2008) 1.37 gpg (2009) 1.14
marks per game (2008) 7.32 mpg (2009) 6.43,
the quoted indices over the last couple of years are "career best".

He took a few grabs and got loose a few times against an average defence and failed to convert. Typical Miller. Watts should play the last couple of games and hopefully Jurrah too. My forward line for the rest of the year would consist of:

F: Jurrah Martin Bruce
HF: Bate Watts Petterd

theres only one thing wrong about that forward line and that is Jurrah is playing too deep, switch Jurrah and Petterd and it looks better because Bate and Jurrah are pretty good lead up targets.

I agree. Jurrah seems to do well sweeping across HF, he can get on the end of a couple of entries, but he can set up goals really well too, as seen against Port.

Side note: he has a really curious kicking style - not the action, just the amount of effort he puts into his kicks for goal - he seems to only give the kick enough to get over the line, from any distance. Which I guess helps to explain his direct kicks to the forward line. Maybe. Or something.

Miller should sue Daniher, screwed his career up, should never had, had that good against hall. Never got a proper chance at attack, when he finally was pushed forward, to used to defence, doesnt know what to do with it

I think we're a massive chance to trade him to the swans come seasons end, with hall retired, they will be looking for another key forward and the word was they were keen on miller last trade period.
