Mitch Morton's Progress?

How is young Mitch going? After that goal in the wizard cup, I thought a debut was almost a certainty in the early mid rounds but Im not sure now.

been in good touch in the WAFL but there simply isnt room. when we start losing then he may be in with a shot.

there are not many first year players that will make it into a side which has won 8 straight.

Remember that goal, and wondered whether I will see him out there for West Coast. But when you look at it, the side is full strength, not many debutants at all this year.

Daniel McConnell was a player I was hoping to see from seasons start, but after a while I thought he would never get a go. Good to see him out on the park last week against the Sainters. A debut I was looking forward to. Hope he can keep his spot for most of the season.

Just hope Morton does get a game if the chance comes along.

Morton may get a game after the mid-season break. Have heard some great things about him, but he's still too small to play.

He's struggled a bit since he missed 2 weeks with concussion. Hopefully he gets a bit of form up and make his debut.

LeCras I would say would be closer to playing. Listen to a bit of the West Perth game today and he sounded like he had a good game

LeCras and Morton are both WAY undersize to be playing AFL. I have no doubt they'll both be great players in 2-3 years, but let's just leave them in the WAFL.

Not every player is a Judd or Kerr - ready to make an immediate impact at 18. Have a look at how Chad Fletcher started.....

All I was saying is that i think LeCras is closer to making his debut than Morton is, based on their form in the WAFL. Ofcourse it would be great for them to playing this year, but that would only happen with a lot of injuries to senior players.
