Hi guys,

I was wondering if any of you mobile-savvy experts out there can help me with this little problem? I have put the North Melbourne song (downloaded from Telstra) on my mobile phone as my ringtone, but I have found that the song cuts out before I get the chance to actually answer the phone. In other words, the complete song doesn't play before it cuts out and I get a 'missed call' message. Is there any way to make the phone ring for longer before cutting out? Or even a way to repeat the song if I am taking a little while to answer it? I have looked in the settings but haven't been able to find anything. Thanks.

It IS a pretty long song...:D

Not that I can claim to be an absolute techo-geek, but I'm not aware of settings on any mobiles I've had (up to my 5th phone now) that allow you adjust how long the phone rings before it registers as a missed call. I just try to pick a ringtone that sounds good within 15-30 seconds. That time period would probably fit our chorus at most

Sorry I can't help,
kitty :o

Yeah... I think you'll find that the phone is actually ringing for as long as it normally would, but the length of the song out lasts it.

I suggest actually answering your goddamn phone and not having to hear the last verse every time:D

Actually i had a similar issue & what i did was ring my Mobile phone Carrier (Optus) & asked them to extend my ring from about 15sec to 30sec & its pretty good now. Its as simple as that.:)

I think I like listening to the song so much I forget that it's actually my phone ringing! :D I just thought that at a bare minimum though, the whole song should play before it cuts out.

Great! Thanks Nick! :thumbsu: I knew the Roo Lounge would be the place to get an answer! :)

No, you get 15, 20 or 30sec & you have to ring your Mob phone carrier to extend it because you start with 15sec.

Its actually in your settings Go North. Turn active diverts on. It will go as long as it wants until there is no answer to the phone.

What that does is removes the message or voice mail box so you don't have to listen to messages. So when some one calls you, the tone will go all the way until they close, you answer or the phone closes by it self

By that logic, I could use 'Stairway To Heaven' or 'In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida' as my ringtone and piss off my debt collectors.

Yeah, that would work but would also disables your Message bank & by doing so the person calling cant leave you a message & if your unable to answer you phone then......
