Listening on the radio. Just to add salt into an already miserable night, it sounds like Monfries was taken down the race with a possible hamstring injury.

Hope it's not too bad, but it's exactly what we don't need.

All together shocking night... Played very poorly. I thought that our goal kicking was appaling when we could have really made a good break early. Lloyd was mugged in front of goals by Presti.. Not sure how the umps missed that. Even with the very generous umpiring they received - they were better than us & deserve to win.

I could come up with countless excusses...

- Watson
- Back-Up ruckman
- Umpires
- Wet conditions

but the thing is, Collingwood played better than us tonight, and rightfully deserved the win.

Not good on the injury front though....

Was a terrible game on Essendon's behalf.
Collingwood creamed us. Good side with 5 wins on the trot and will no doubt give Doggies a hard time. Although I think Doggies can still beat them.

Our kicking killed us in the first half.
8 behinds kicked. If half of those were goals would of been giving the Pies a good run for their money.

We beat them on ANZAC day and Carlton twice now that equals happiness :p

Hopefully the boys are back on track and can beat the swannies.

Watson, McVeigh, Hurley, Zaka...bring them on in.

To be honest. We let them off the hook in the first quarter. Both of their goals came from when they had a loose man deep. We turn the ball over rand a long kick to the goal square would be an instant goal.

It's the same tactic we applied last week, it's just tonight we turned it over.

Thomas then Cloke.

We also missed shots we should have sunk in the first quarter. Hurt us later on.

Collingwood applied the blowtorch to us in the 2nd qtr & we didnt cope with it. Instead of being 3 pts up at 1/4 time we should have been 3-4 goals up. Not sure if Cloke would have kicked the goal from where he was in the 2nd qtr but Reimers getting sucked in gave away the 50.

All interesting fellas, But digressing away from the OP

Am really more concerned to hear about Mofries injury. :D

Disappointing night from the lads BUT we were beaten by a better side tonight.
They pushed us to wide to many times for my liking tonight.

Prizza was great, imagine what a full pre season will bring.

Mark my words McVeigh will be fantastic from here on in, he was a shattered man and he will take this lose personally and will want to make up for it 10 fold!!!

AGAIN we went into our shells a bit when we were challenged but that will change as time goes on.

If we converted early we would have had a slightly better chance tonight.

Lucas was good and has been since his return.

Still loving Pears and his development, he has been a real find.

I was disappointed in Stanton and Dysons games tonight.

Season is far from over lads, lets pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off and get back into it :thumbsu:

the pies were just to hard at the ball, fingers crossed for major monfries.. did anyone think Thomas goal off the ground was touched by fletch!!

get your hand off it, they had no influence on gthe result if anything we recieve better treatment, they should have recieved a number of holding the ball decisions...

Hard to say - Daisy could have kicked it off Fletcher's hand. In the scheme of things, that hardly mattered.

Suddenly, our guys started to kick in all directions, just like Carlton did last week. Collingwood turned the pressure on, and we lost out cool.

I'm sure hes faking it, should be playing soccer imo.

Geez, I wish I was a mod right now.

Piss off bandwagoner. Actually has anyone else noticed a couple of 'fake' Coll accounts posting crap on here all of a sudden?

Anyway, I hope Gus will be ok for next week.

Why? so he'd get countless handballs?

Also,
I'm not going to say anymore about the umpires
But who saw the following two goals.

- Jack Anthony was tackled, the ball fell out of his hands, no handpass or anything, Travis Cloke picked the ball up and goals.
- Daisy's second "goal". It looked a lot like Fletcher had rushed it. But thats not all. In the replay, you could see the ball actually HITTING the post.

and @FrankGrimes, i don't think you watched the match mate.

What a ****ing flog you are.

He's not the only who's being flooding our board with crap. Maybe it's the one user with multiple usernames. Who can be stuffed going to that much trouble. :o

It actually probably is. There is a renowned pest on our board who has had literally 100's of accounts banned, even though he lists himself as a Collingwood supporter. Seems his trolling has spread to other boards.
