Apparently Bomber mentioned in a "presser" today so I'm safe to post the news without drawing too much attention from the opposition.
I'm told from my reliable source that geelong may well go into friday nights game without Mooney unless he's 100% ..... at this stage the medical staff have told Bomber he's 50/50 and have suggested another week.
You'll remember a few weeks back the coach said they would aim at giving players an extra week on top of the normal break for routine injuries (refer Chapman - Mackie - Ottens as recent examples). I think Hawkins will get another chance as Mooney will propably miss - especially with the 6 day break working against him.
I think it's a smart move at this stage of the season.
Have'nt been able to get confirmation on Chapman but he's done everything at training this week.
