That was an absolute heartstopper. We played well in parts - notably the second and start of the third quarter - and not so much at other times. Injuries as well. But the boys stood tall, and never surrendered.

Who deserves your votes? Plenty to ponder this week, I think, so choose carefully. 15 votes to give, 5 maximum to any single player.

5- Jake Riccardi
4- Leek Aleer
3- Toby Greene

4 - Jake Riccardi: have to reward 4 goals & positioned and marked well inside F50
3 - Toby Greene: 2 goals, 9 score involvements & orchestrated attack inside 50 pretty well
3 - Keiren Briggs: when Briggs plays well, Giants play well: team-high clearances, though a few errors & tired late
3 - Connor Idun: quelled the influence of Jezza & took 13 intercepts for the game
1 - James Peatling: equal 2nd-high team clearances, provided the grunt work we needed
1 - Leek Aleer: part of the defensive team who repelled Cat attack after attack; team-high 4 contested marks, including 3 in the last quarter to help save the game

Hm
Haynes, Peatling,XOH and Aleer's last 5 minutes was huge.

4 - Greene - best game for the year and that goal was sublime
3 - Riccardi - great game but spoiled by some errors late in the game
2 - Briggs - best game of the year by him. Gave our mids first go (51-32 hitouts)
2 - Aleer - saved our bacon with some brilliant work, especially in the last quarter
1 - Taylor - kept Hawkins to 2 goals and seemed to always be 'there' when needed
1 - Idun - 19 disposals - provided a vital link out of the backline and holds his own in the D50
1 - Haynes - some great marks, also some poor disposals, but an integral part of the win
1 - Peatling - stepped up in the middle with Coniglio out
