Anyone know when NAB Cup tickets will be on sale? And where from?

The AFL website has said 'mid-January' for weeks, nothing seems to have happened and we're over mid January. I need to coordinate a largish group to walk down to Unley Oval on 21 Feb and really don't want to have to manage it all at the last minute. Anyone know?

Normally on sale through Ticketek.

Other stadiums interstate go on sale 2nd or 3rd of February. I think it's free again this year for members which is good, although I ended up buying my tickets along with the general public last year as I didn't want to miss out.

AFC are you sure its free for members? I know SANFL games are free... That would be great if NAB is free but I have a vague recollection of having to buy tickets previously? But that could be my old memory as well...

Just found it here http://www.afc.com.au/news/2016-01-10/nab-challenge-fixture-released

The AFL also confirmed that every NAB Challenge match will be televised live on Fox Footy as well as on the AFL Live app. Club members with game access will be entitled to attend next year's NAB Challenge matches free of charge, subject to availability.

It's free entry - providing you chance it on the day and rock up at the gate.

Given Unley, at best, holds 8000, I reckon anyone that wants to go will have to buy a ticket - member or not.

Don't forget the pooper scooper

Thanks all - even the pedants among us. :p Unley Oval has a capacity of about 15,000 - so will still pay to be early.

15,000 may have been the capacity prior to Sturt first leaving the ground in the mid 80's, but it's nowhere near that now. I believe capacity is now 8000.

Also, only about 60% of the oval can hold patrons - the eastern and southern end of the ground isn't accessible.

Yep we might end up at the pub watching it on the Fox Footy anyway. We'll see...:)

Anyone with ideas on what pubs (in Norwood/KentTown area, in particular) that are good for showing footy on Fox with sound? A lot of pubs show several Fox channels at the same time but with sound turned off

Probably best to do a quick ring around. I'd start at the Kensy, Bath, Robin Hood...

Do all pubs show fox footy?

Would the casino be showing it?

No I don't think so - and just because they have Fox Sports doesn't mean they are showing Fox Footy. Don't think the Casino shows Fox Footy but I could be wrong... best to phone...

AFL claiming the capacity available to the clubs is 10,000 which will be interesting if people try and turn up on the day.

Looks like you might be able to use membership numbers to reserve tickets and just pay the booking fee but not sure how to read this (registering for a ticket vs buying one).

The AFL advises that Unley Oval has a limited capacity of approximately 10,000 and considering the anticipated demand for this match, strongly recommends that all members guarantee their entry by using their membership card to register for a general admission ticket via Ticketek.com.au.

Member registrations are subject to availability on a first come, first serve basis and subject to an additional fee. Transaction fees may also apply. The match is General Admission only. Tickets/member registrations are available from February 2, while the General Public will have access from Wednesday, February 3.

Must be pulling down some play equipment, or allowing 2000 people to stand on Frederick St to cram another 2000 people in :D

Does the booking fee include a pooper scooper!

Just got my ticket then. I stumped up an extra $5 to get in the Jack Oatey stand. Never been there before so we'll see how it goes. I enjoy watching footy from a bit higher up and side on to see it all unfold. Can't wait!
