Haven't seen a Coburg game this year but Foley has had 33, 29 and 29 disposals in the past three weeks respectively. I haven't seen much of him personally but at training earlier this year he looked small but robust with a pretty healthy build for a young bloke. With Rodan out for the year, would it be worth elevating him to see how he goes at AFL level? Particularlyu interested to hear from people who've seen him play or know more about him.

Also, Rodan might be back quicker than everyone thought. He spoke on the weekend to a group of us and he's healing remarkably well. I think he said he could even return this season, although the docs might hammer that on the head to be on the cautious side.

Been proven time and time again that coming back earlier than 12 months does not work . Medically speaking the graft takes that long to fully take and be strong enough to play footy on.

They either re-injure themselves or thier fitness and confidnece is not up to scratch ( see Gaspar )

Put him on ice until next year when he will have done a full preseason . Very very foolish to try and bring him back this year .

What would be the point anyway? , about as much point as playing cogs in the last two games last year

Its fine to elevate him, but when we're struggling to find room for Hyde, Jackson, Hartigan, Moore & Pattison, where's he gonna go?

I would've thought if he's averaging thirty touches a game (and they're decent touches) for Coburg at the moment, he's ahead of all on that list except Hyde. He's a 177cm rover so I don't think you can compare him to Pattison, Moore and Jackson anyway.
Hartigan has just done his hammy again and will most likely miss at least another 4. Hyde is obviously going to make his way back into the side.
Seems to me that we've got a guy in his 2nd year on the rookie list who's looking the goods and it may be time to think about giving him a go.
