Just got it last week and its great, played 2k9 now this and i rate live better. BE a PRO is a great new game mode along with the FIBA world champs, dynasty mode is better than ever and all-star weekend is still going strong.

Graphics as usual are great, the hot spots are good and gameplay is much better than 2K.

You can actually sprint on Live. On 2K9 they dont move any quicker after holding the sprint button and most look lanky and as slow as Shaq.

Anyone else got Live 09, if so how do you rate it and is it better than 2K9

BWAHAHAHA, players move slower because they aren't all Usain Bolts, it's called REALISM.

"Gameplay better than 2K", that just made my day.

buddy, u press sprint and they don't change speed on 2K9. especially on fast breaks. i dont hate 2K9 i like it. i just like LIVE abit more than 2K.

i will probably buy 2K9 aswell when i can be bothered:p

You've got it wrong, I agree that on fast breaks they don't go as fast as they should, but they definitely change speed.

You based your opinions on 2K9 being worse than NBA Live by playing what 5-10 minutes, if you look at the 2K9 thread you will see how deep the game is and that what you played was the very face of the game, in order to get the full experience you need to play and learn the game, everybody knows Live is for dunkers, 2K is for Purist's.

i played a playoff series on 2K9 with a mate.
but obviously the game modes must be very good.

Having played both games, I don't really think one is head and shoulders above the other. Live is still a bit too 'arcadish', but certainly the gameplay has improved big time from last year.

The BAP, expanded FIBA comp and the gym are pretty cool and for those who don't take basketball video games more seriously than in real life (yes, Live bashers, I'm talking to you.....;)) they should more than suffice.

Got both on 360, and the Wii version of Live.

Will take back the Wii version immediately....

The 360 version is arguably more lifelike then 2k9, having the world teams is a nice addition.... Marv Albert is also nice.

But ther then that.... 2k9 is way better.
