New TV, Need some help

My TV just shat itself yesterday morning and im looking to buy a new LCD tomorrow. I dont know much about them but im only looking to spend around $1500.
For this money whats the best tv i can get out there?
I'll also be using it for my ps3?

Poke around for a while. JB, HN, Good Guys see what they've got. make sure it has HDMI and a digital tuner. You'll be looking at 26 - 32 inches.

I got a 1366x768 32" LG LCD for $1000 from HN, run out stock. Nice enough panel.

The are a bunch of LGs in that range that will be perfectly fine. A 32" Hitachi should be around that range etc.

Also if you want to play PS3 in HD you need a HDMI cable.

I managed to pick one up from JB for about $35 and it works really well, it is only 1 metre long though.

You may be able to lay your hands on a 37" Sharp Aquos (LC37PD5X) for around the $1500 mark.
