Just bought debut album by this four-piece English band. One of the best debuts I've heard, and probably the best rock album I've heard this year. They're like an English Nirvana ... much harder than that usual Brit pop stuff. Think this album could be very big. And if you like guitar rock, have a listen, really good stuff.

I picked up Everything Is myself not long ago on the strength of "Shot Down" and was very pleased with the overall album but while I can see where the Nirvana comparisons come from I think that Nine black alps have a lot more of a poppy, commercial sound. Still good though
