Seems we are finally paying for those close lossers early in the season because at the moment we are playing with no confidence at all and im sure that is as bad as we could possibly play.....well i hope.

I don't know what to say. It was like a car accident. So awful, yet I couldn't turn away (except when the Chaser was on).

I thought Nash did enough to keep his spot. CJ got his first bag.

And what's what the ill-discipline. Bradley running into a pack, with his eyes looking the wrong way. They got the goal anyway, but it was just stupid. I don't know where he's at. He prob won't play next week. Perhaps let Lee have a crack.

And McPhee...he can't be fit...Burton gave him a belting..if he's not fit, don't play him...there's no point.

I hardly noticed Welsh even though the ball was down there for 60% of the game.

Apart form that, I don't know...lucky I'm going to Thailand very shortly to take my mind off it..

And AaronM I wont be signing your petition. Sheedy is contracted till the end of next year. The problems are more than simply just Sheedy. And Essendon simply doesn't break coaching contracts.

if you can explain exactly what we would gain from sacking sheedy now and not letting him finish his contract i might consider signing your petition.

also if you can explain what the "new" coach could be doing that sheedy is not doing. and who should the new coach be? if you know so much about coaching why dont you put your name forward for the coaching position.

you probably have never coached a team in your life. you probably wouldn't be able to coach a team of u12's.

I don't even like Essendon but i'm sick of these 'sack sheedy' idiots who post on here. Sheedy has seen it all in his time in the game and if i wanted any coach in the current game to back to get my club back to a powerhouse it would be him, there is absolutely no point replacing a legend of the coaching game with another assistant coach that wll be expected to work miracles. You can't expect to always be the best and th fans need to unite and back the man who can get you out of this mess - that man is Kevin Sheedy.

all you sheedy sackers are ungratefull pricks - he has brought us so many amazing years of success and after 2-3 years of , with this year only being the REAL BAD STUFF, you jump off before you can say "sack sheedy!"

Nice post. Sheddy has always got him self out of trouble and its just one of thoses years were he is setting the team up for the futrue and not teh present. If your can remeber there are still a few guys from bakc in the mid 90's and are coming to the end of there footy career.

from the petition...We do not want 3 successive season down near the bootom of the league ladder. We deserve to be in the finals every season. Essendon is the sort of club that should be in the finals every season.

I think this shows just how deluded AaronM is, I don't know what kind of superclub you want to support but it's an inevibility that all clubs will spend time at the bottom of the ladder, it goes in cycles, that's just how it happens. Stop expecting Essendon to be a superpower every single year and make the finals, because all clubs have their time at the bottom, no matter who their coach is...yours included!

I'm also glad to see that your stupid petition has only managed to gain 24 signatures, of which many are either disagreeing with you, making comments like 'Pika Pika Pikachuuuuuu !!!' as well as the 15 or so that were probably signed by yourself.

Your club has over 30,000 members, so far your petition has 24 signatures on it, most who probably aren't even Essendon supporters, is this telling you something?

How about showing loyalty to the man that showed us loyalty in the early 90's when we were strapped for cash (he nabbed us another 2 flags since) and he was getting bigger offers but he stayed with us - at least give him until the end of his contract FFS. I reckon if we didnt get Sheeds back in 1981 we could perhaps even be defunct or on the bones of our arse like the Roos.

Good post, Sheeds could have easily taken Sydney's money but kept his loyalty to the Bombers, he is building another team, Keep The Faith
