Norm Smith - Hannebery Robbed!!!

Well Done guys on beating Hawks.

One thing i thought though was Hannebery was that far ahead of everyone for BOG. He was as good as I have seen someone in a GF and it was a blight that he didn't win the Norm Smith.

Don't get me wrong Okeefe was good but DH was BOG by a mile IMO.

Wondering your thoughts??

I agree with the OP. had him for normie after the game. When okeefe won it I said to my mate I must have got his possessions confused with hannebery coz they kind of look similar (to a non swan). Okeefe was very good also

Hannebery had an ordinary 1st quarter i thought he shirked a few 50/50's, but backed it up well. Very, ****ing well after qtr time. Bit stiff, but RO'K was solid for 4 qtrs

Thought ROK was a worthy winner, though it was a flip of the coin with Hanners...personally would've went with Hannebery, but not complaining.

Could have gone to 3 or 4 players i would say.... ROK had 15 tackles.....

I thought it was well deserved but did see O'Keefe fumble a little. His pressure was the best. Hanners would have been worthy as would have sewell - I kept mentioning his name in expletives so I would think he had a pretty good game too. Glad a Swan finally won the medal though. The voters may have had a sneaky look at the stat sheet.

Not to take away from O'Keefe one of a small few that were possibly equally derserving.

ROK deserved winner. McVeigh for mine was sensational - the smothers, the goal at the end of the 3Qr when we badly needed one, he set up a few goals as well from precision kicking and never stopped tackling. True leader.

Without looking at the stats, seemed to me like McVeigh was in pretty much everything and was highly important, especially with Bolton down a little bit. Great smother, nice mark in the goal square, body on the line stuff... would've been my pick.

That said, I guess your day hasn't gone too badly if the biggest problem is who deserved the Norm Smith most...

Had a small amount on ROK for the Norm, so no complaints here. 15 tackles and 28 possies is huge. He was hard at it all day

But i also had a smaller amount on Hanners and would've won more money if he had got it!

To be honest, I thought Hawks Brad Sewell was BOG...
I might change my mind though,
I'm going to happily watch countless replays of the game to conclusively decide..
But for now, I'm more than happy for ROK to have Won it..

In fairness to Mitchell, he was Herculean in the guts, won a bucketload of clearances, but ROK's pressure was excellent and few of them were clean. It was a brilliant battle between two fantastic midfielders.
