i went to tonight's game knowing that even if we lost as long as we dont loose great percentage it won't be too much of a setback. In the first quarter we kept with them and each team had patches and i was content at half time with a reasonable score. After that we lost it a bit and you could just the difference between being simply experience. Silly mistakes and cracking under the pressure contributed to the loss. However i remember the situation the bulldogs were in in 2006 on the brink of finals and the 9th spot and in the end they just missed out if i remember correct. During the game i had a laugh with some mates and some funny drunk bulldogs supporters. So at the end of the game it was a feeling that we are a few years behind where the bulldogs and all in all i wasn't too disapointed because it's not gonna make too much of a difference to our finals opportunities, we showed glimpes of greatness (winderlich's team goal) and our bad patches were just due to inexperience and unawareness. So with the next 3 games all very possible wins in my eyes (Richmond, West Coast and Brisbane) im looking forward and don't really drop my head over what happened tonight.

Who agrees?

Wrong. We played finals in 2006 and beat Collingwood in an Elimination Final. :)

We had an ordinary third quarter and that was about it tonight and it cost us the game. I didn't really expect a victory tonight and the final margin is a little disappointing but there were some other reasons for that which I've discussed in another thread.

The same pressure & intensity we displayed tonight (even for three quarters) can and will beat our next three opponents. The Bulldogs were just classier when it counted.

yeh wasn't quite sure, but you do remember you were in a similar postion to us noow?

I think you guys are similar to the dogs in 2005 and 2006. With the run and all of that. People say the dogs are a fast side now, but I disagree. Our midfield isn't very pacey at all. We are more of a contested ball winning side these days. That's what our team has been working on the last few years, was to get stronger and win more contested footy.
