Who the hell would want to play in the WAFL when they have a chance to play SANFL? Dont even consider it!

Anyway, What sought of team are we gonna come up with and who will coach it and captian it?

Would anyone like to come up with our best 22? Then throw in a couple of recruiting targets if you like e.g. Ben Cousins lol.

Mago would seem to be the current popular choice as coach. Mark Motlop doesn't have the time, Brett Hand is still too new altho he has some assistant exp in the SANFL. Probably also get some bites from aspiring AFL coaches (get FIGJAM back, ahahahahahaha)

As to the team, there are a few guys running around in the SANFL/WAFL etc that would probably stick up their hands.

some bigger guys would need to be recruited, basically an entire spine and a ruckman with experience. Probably recently de-listed AFL players. We have enough small running players for 3 sides

Shane Morrison, Brett Backwell, Daryl White, Dylan McLaren, Byron Pickett, Jethro Calma-Holt, Patrick Fittock, Simon Munkara etc... could all be a chance to play for the Territory.

Who would the selectors pick out of Brad Moody,Brad Stephensen, Ryan Smith to maybe be a back up Ruckman?

Good question. I dont think any of them would be tall enough.

Dont know how tall ruckman are in the SANFL.

Not tall enough?
They would easily be around the 195cm+ and i think that wouldnt be far off from the ruckman going around in the SANFL!

They could probably be tall enough but would they be good enough? I can tell you now that these guys would find it hard to get into the other SANFL sides. I think they would do a bit of recruiting but the last time I checked Brad Moody wasn't dominating for Nightcliff and was actually in the reserves one week, Stephensen had a season-ending knee injury and Ryan Smith looks like he has only played footy for 12 months.

I agree with ya there!
Its not going to be till atleast 2009 so Stephensen and Smith will have to do abit more work in order to have a chance of getting picked and matching it with the experienced SANFL Ruckman!

why dont they fix our NTAFL competiton up before trying to venture into the SANFL?

Every league out side the AFL and SANFL has struggled for years and it aint gonna get any better!

The SANFL will give hope for those players that dominate the league at an early age only to be alcoholics by the time thier 28. NTFL clubs dont have the incentive like money to keep them interested in their footy, not to mention the off field benifits a person will get out of it.

You never see the best of NTFL footballers because by the time they hit thier peak (28,29) they are only playing the game half hearted and half fit or even too often retired!
