Hi Everybody!....

To cut to the chase I am still on dial-up and have just bought a new PS3 and am now interested in getting broadband so I can play online, along with other things :thumbsu:

Just wondering if anyone could tell me what kbps and downloading allowance Minimums I should be looking for and maybe even suggest a few good plans?

Cheers Guys :)

Yeah just was wondering the requirements to be able to play ps3 online without lagging or anything...?

There's no set minimum because it varies from game to game, but my friend has 1500/256k net with his PS3, and it runs fine.

But basically the consensus is that having broadband is enough, with 256/64k you might see some lag with busier games, but any higher should be alright.

Also can anyone tell me what sorta download allowance I should be looking at? Obviously it would depend how much I play the PS3 but can someone give me some sort of idea?

well when i was playing cod4 full on i'd chew up my 12gigs in half a month easy

but this is 3 - 4 hours a night playing.....and that would chew up about 500mb each session....but that is extremely rough.
